Nominations for the 2008 Renton Citizen of the Year program are being accepted through Sept. 12.

The Citizen of the Year program recognizes those who have significantly contributed to the Renton community. Nominees should have served in more than one area, over an extended period of time.

Renton’s Citizen of the Year program is sponsored by the Renton Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of Renton and the City of Renton.

Nomination forms will be reviewed by a selection committee who will choose two Outstanding Citizens and one Citizen of the Year. All three will be honored at an awards banquet Oct. 23 at the Renton Senior Activity Center.
