Renton police ask for help in locating shooting suspect

Renton police are asking for help in locating a 31-year-old shooting suspect.

Renton Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect in a Saturday-night shooting.

Police suspect Gregory D. McGary, 31, shot a 33-year-old man during a domestic dispute 11:20 p.m., May 15 on the 2500 block of Edmonds Avenue Northeast, according to a Renton Police Department press release.

The victim, who was treated at an area hospital, was last reported in stable condition, according to the release.

After the shooting a woman drove the victim to the parking lot at 1190 Sunset Blvd. N.E. in search of medical attention. Police met her there, according to the release.

McGary is 5’7″ and weighs about 190 pounds. He’s described as an African American with black hair and brown eyes, according to the release.

He is known to drive a white 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe with license plate 240ZFX.

A search warrant was served on a residence in the 2100 block of Lake Washington Boulevard at approximately 9 a.m., May 16 by the Valley SWAT team. The residence was unoccupied, according to the release.
