Austin Franklin

Austin Franklin, 14, of Renton, was recently awarded the Royal Rangers Bronze Medal of Achievement. The award required Franklin, an eighth grader at Northwood Middle School, to complete merit, service and leadership work.

Franklin is a member of the Warm Beach Community Church Royal Ranger Outpost 168 and New Life Church Outpost 118. He was recently appointed Outpost Scout for Outpost 168.

Franklin is the son of Brenda Franklin-Strout and John Strout. He attends New Life Church and Warm Beach Community Church. He has played football, basketball and track at Northwood.

The Royal Rangers is a merit-driven scouting program offered by the Assembly of God church.
