A man stabbed in the Highlands late Monday afternoon is refusing to provide information to police, meaning detectives have no suspects or details of the assault, according to a Renton Police Department spokeswoman.

The victim, an African-American male in his late 20s or early 30s, was hospitalized with a wound to his chest, according to police spokeswoman Terri Vickers.

Police and medics responded to the area near the 2900 block of Northeast Seventh Street at about 3:45 p.m.

Without information from the victim, police have no description of the suspect, Vickers said. A police K9 unit did search the area.
