The Liberty boys swim and dive team finished sixth at the Sea-King District 2 Championships Feb. 12.
Junior Logan Briggs led the way with a second place finish in the 500 free and a third place finish in the 200-yard freestyle. Briggs finished 1.63 seconds behind the winner in the 500 free.
Liberty’s team of Luke Duschl, Raymond Ha, Kevin Hays and Briggs took fifth in the 200 medley relay.
Duschl finished fourth in the 100 backstroke. He also took eighth in the finals of the 200 individual medley.
Ha, a sophomore, placed second in the 100 breastroke.
Jesse Herrild placed seventh in the one-meter dive competition.
Liberty (Duschl, Hays, Andrew Kubeja and Briggs) finished sixth in the 200 free relay.
The Patriots team of Connor Biehl, Tyler Larson, Kubeja and Ha took ninth in the 400 free relay.
Liberty takes on the 3A state meet starting Friday at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
