Lindbergh sweeps girls matches and beats Hazen 5-2 | Tennis

The Lindbergh tennis team beat Hazen 5-2 Friday. Sophomore Quinn Osborn beat Hazen's freshman Kristal Kozai 6-0, 6-3 in the girls match and improved to 5-5 on the season. Kozai is 1-6 between singles and doubles play.

Lindbergh’s Preet Kaur beat Julie Vaisarova 6-0, 7-6. Kaur is 5-5 while Vaisarova is 2-6.

Erin Johnson and Amber Hiranaka teamed to beat Hazen’s Erin Zell and Natalie Goode 6-2, 6-3.

Lindbergh sophomore Adrian Villanueva improved to 18-6 by beating Tommy Truong 6-3, 6-4. Truong is 10-10 on the season.

Lindbergh’s Ulysses Lane and T.J. Bayna beat Colin Jones and Jack Li 6-2, 0-6, 6-4.

Hazen’s mixed doubles team of Corbin Kozai and Haley Strandberg beat Lucas Whitman and Pearl Nguyen 6-3, 6-2. Kozai and Strandberg are 6-0 in doubles play this season.

Gary Kono earned a point for Hazen with his 6-4, 6-1 win over Jeffrey Girmus. Kono is now 4-2 while Girmus is 2-3.
