The Lindbergh football team fell to 2-3 overall Friday with a 48-21 loss at Kennedy Catholic.

Kennedy ran out to a quick lead with a a pair of first-quarter rushing touchdowns just a minute apart. Lindbergh was able to get on the board with a passing touchdown to make it 14-7 after the first.

But Kennedy ran in another touchdown in the second and took a 21-7 into halftime.

In the third, Kennedy quickly ran in another touchdown but Lindbergh battled back to bring it to 28-14 at the end of three.

Unfortunately for the Eagles, The Lancers never took their foot off the gas, scoring another running touchdown,m then running back a punt 75 yards for a TD and finally tacking on even more with J. Ngaumo’s fifth touchdown run of the day.

The Eagles were able to score again with 58 seconds left, but it proved too little too late for Lindbergh.

The Eagles play Evergreen Thursday at Renton Memorial Stadium.
