So far about $25,000 was raised in Renton’s CROP Hunger Walk 2010 on Sunday.
The money will help feed the hungry in Renton and around the world. Locally, the money goes to food agencies, the Friendly Kitchen, ARISE and the Margie Williams Helping Hands.
About 300 walkers and workers participated in the walk, sponsored by the REACH or Renton Ecumenical Association of Churches.
The walk began at Liberty Park and then proceeded down the Cedar River Trail to Ron Regis Park and back.
Churches, scouts, schools, clubs, organizations, businesses and individuals participated in the event.
