When a mother and her daughter came home around 2:30 p.m. Sept. 14, they confronted a burglar.

When the mother entered her home, she saw that a window had been broken and opened. She walked behind the home and saw the suspect.

She asked what he was doing, and he said “nothing,” before running from the home on the 1900 block of 113th Way Southeast.

The suspect took some of her jewelry.
