Hazen 37, Franklin Pierce 28

Hazen picked up a come-from-behind win Friday night, beating Franklin Pierce 37-28.

The Highlanders (1-0) trailed 28-20 going into the fourth quarter, but scored 17 unanswered points.

Mason Jacobs finished with three touchdown runs (26, 24, 6 yards), while Tony Nipert and Jordan Abdullah also had touchdown runs. Cody Moorhead made a fourth-quarter tackle for a safety.

Eastside Catholic 41, Liberty 14

Liberty struggled to a 41-14 loss against Eastside Catholic Friday night.

The Patriots (0-1) got on the board with 14 points in the fourth quarter, but the Crusaders had built a 35-0 lead through three quarters.
