Four men were arrested Thursday (Sept. 18) at a Renton hotel for patronizing a prostitute in the Renton Police Department’s ongoing fight against human trafficking in the city.
The sting was part of a larger operation in King County, according to Terri Vickers, a spokeswoman for the Renton Police Department.
The four arrests were made during a roughly four-hour period. The cases have been forwarded to the Renton City Attorney’s Office for review. Patronizing a prostitute is a misdemeanor.
In July the Renton Police officers arrested 11 men at a Renton hotel in a sting called “Operation Cold Shower” targeting “johns” or a prostitute’s customers. They were charged with exploitation of a minor.
