RENTON BLOTTER: Pregnant woman kicks in bedroom door wielding knife

The following information was compiled from City of Renton police reports

A woman who is eight-months pregnant kicked open a bedroom door and threatened her boyfriend of three years with a knife over an argument about her daughter’s hair not being done, June 2.

When they started to argue, the boyfriend locked himself in the bedroom. After failing to open the outside window, the woman tried to unlock the door with a steak knife. That failed, so she kicked in the door holding a knife over her head and yelling “Hit me, hit me.”

The boyfriend picked up a suitcase to protect himself. He then hit her.

A third party yelled for them to stop, when the boyfriend left.

The woman also said he hit her with a plastic bat full of gum balls and punched her stomach. She was arrested.

Church burglarized

Harambee Church was broken into and a laptop was stolen at about 11 p.m., June 1.

Surveillance footage showed two suspects try two doors, gaining entry on the second.

There weren’t any pry marks around the door, and it appears that the suspects just pulled on it hard enough that it bent the lock without breaking it.

The laptop was locked down with a cable, and the suspect was only able to steal it by leaving the battery.

Teen crunked outside Hazen High

Police found a drunk 16-year-old staggering across a street near Hazen High School May 30.

As a police officer approached him, he fell to his side. He then pulled a can of beer from under his sweatshirt and attempted to hide in a bush.

Two reporting parties said the boy tried to sell them a dub, $20 of marijuana.

With permission to search the boy, the officer found an empty baggy that smelled of weed.

The boy also told the officer that he had taken six shots of rum, after getting into a fight with his mom.

He wasn’t arrested for possession but was taken to Valley Medical Center for treatment.
