Renton School District and the City of Renton will team up again this year to offer free lunches during summer break to children up to 18-years-old at locations throughout Renton.
The grant-funded program is offered June 27 to August 18 (at most sites) at schools, apartments, churches, community centers and parks (sites, dates/times listed below). Lunches, which must be eaten on site, will be served Monday through Friday unless otherwise noted and no lunches will be served July 1, 4 and 5. See a list of all of the summer lunch sites below.
The summer lunch program was established to ensure that children continue to receive nutritious meals during the summer when they do not have access to school meal programs. The program is open to the public, and there is no registration required.
