The Renton girls track team placed 22nd at the state meet. The Indians scored 13 points and tied with Enumclaw and Bishop Blanchet.
Boryana Atanasova led the Indians with a fifth-place finish in the shot put. She threw a distance of 37 feet, five and a half inches. Atanasova also placed fourth in the discus, at 115 feet, six inches. She also finished sixth in the javelin, at 120 feet, five inches.
Roylanda Jackson finished eighth in the shot put, at 36 feet, five inches.
Renton’s 4X200 relay placed 11th in the preliminaries. Taylor Williams, Tiana Gibson, Aleigha Vasser and Victoria Fernandez made up the team.
Gibson placed 10th in the long jump.
Kristin Haag placed 16th in the long jump.
Hazen
Starr Williams placed 10th in the 100-meter preliminaries. Williams placed 15th in the 200-meter preliminaries.
Hazen’s 4X100 relay team finished ninth in the preliminaries. Erin Anderson, Venecia Rowan, Williams and Madison Dinger ran on the team.
