Daniel Hooker of Tiffany Park Elementary School won second place in a recent Seattle Aquarium annual art contest called “Your Ocean – Our Home.”
Each year the contest features a marine animal native to the Puget Sound and its surrounding waters. This year’s animal was the wolf eel, a creature that has lived in Puget Sound for thousands of years.
Hooker is a second-grader at Tiffany Park. He competed against hundreds of first through fifth graders.
He and the other winners were each awarded a college savings accounts from the T. Rowe Price College Savings Plan, offered by the Education Trust of Alaska, and a Seattle Aquarium Family Membership.
