Alan Lee Brown, 71, of Renton died at home on Nov. 3, 2009.

He was born June 19, 1938, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Gale and Irene Brown.

He worked for Sears, owned Al Brown’s ARCO service station and worked for Boeing for 28 years.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years Jean Brown; daughter Galyn Jean Forbes; son Carl Alan Brown; two grandchildren; sister Nancy Pace and brother E. Carl Brown.

A celebration of his life was held at Renton New Life Church on Nov. 9, followed by a committal service at Greenwood Memorial Park. Donations are suggested to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
