I am writing this letter to ask all voters within the 41st Legislative District to first, vote Nov. 2 and, second, re-elect Marcie Maxwell as our state representative.
I’ve known Marcie for more than 10 years, working closely with her on the Kennydale Neighborhood Association board. She has impressed me with her tireless dedication to Renton neighborhoods, the business community and to kids and schools. She’s just the type of person we need in Olympia —trustworthy, hardworking and a strong supporter of quality education, which is so extremely important for our children and adult learners to build the skilled labor force our region needs.
In two short years as our legislator, Marcie has become an important leader for all of Washington’s children and public schools. She is the House Education vice chairman; on the Education Appropriations Committee for K-12, Early Learning, and Higher Education, and earned a special appointment by the governor to the Quality Education Council (QEC) leading education reform and funding.
Marcie Maxwell has demonstrated her ability to do a good job for us in Olympia. She deserves our vote.
