All-league teams | Boys basketball

Renton dominated the Seamount all-league first team, placing four of the five players on the team.

Hazen led the way with two, De’Corrius Sampson and R.J. Magar. Sampson led the league in assists with 5.0 per game and added 10.4 points per game. Magar scored 14.5 points per game to lead Hazen.

Renton High’s Darren Briggs also made the first team. Briggs led Renton with 13.5 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.

Lindbergh’s James Keum made the first team. Keum was third in the league with 19.7 points per game.

Hazen’s Brandt Graybeal and Renton’s Justin Bennett made the second team. Graybeal led the league with 11.4 rebounds per game. Bennett averaged 10.8 points per game.

Lindbergh’s Dewayne Browne made honorable mention. Browne averaged 10.3 points per game.

Hazen’s Gary Schaplow is Coach of the Year and Kennedy Catholic’s Mitch Penner is the Most Valuable Player.
