I am writing to comment of the posted letter from Judith Tabak published in the Oct. 21 Reporter.
Judith has completely misrepresented Greg Taylor with respect to the library. Greg is one of a few council members who boldly voted against approving the interlocal agreement on June 22 that set the course for moving forward on the library move. Judith was at that June 22 council meeting when that vote occurred and knows full well that Mr. Taylor stuck his neck out in favor of waiting until the city could better gauge the response and desires of voters when it came to the downtown library. I sat next to her! Earlier at the council of the whole meeting Mr. Taylor was very vocal about his reservations on the course the city was taking on this issue. Judith’s comments are simply wrong, and are nothing more than hearsay. Your newspaper reporter was also at those meetings and can confirm Mr. Taylor’s actions on the issue. Greg is one of the hardest working council members whom has been as much or more engaged with the public than many others on the council, and consistently makes an effort to properly represent his constituents. Greg Taylor is one of the stars on our City Council and deserves a published rebuttal on Judith Tabak’s letter.
