Twelve Renton High School students were recognized as Outstanding Seniors by the Renton School Board.
Renton High principal Damien Pattenaude introduced the 12 students at a board meeting last week as a talented group of young people who have succeeded in the classroom and served their community.
Students were selected based on their academic achievement, leadership, co-curricular involvement, citizenship and character, community service, and contributions to their classmates and school.
Students spoke briefly about what made them successful in school and motivated them in their personal life, often thanking parents and teachers.
Each year the board take the time to recognize seniors from each of the district’s three high schools.
The Renton High School students for 2010 are Tia Barnes, Albert Du, Meuy (Wanda) Saechin, Ada Chan Jennefer Hernandez, Shawn Tramble, Lindsay Dacuan, Tamthy Le, Alex Williams, Dennis Dang, Sarah Nelson and Alex Castro-Wilson.
