Joyce Beth McAlpine

Joyce Beth McAlpine, born 14th of March 1935, passed away 3rd of August 2009. Joyce McAlpine, beloved wife, loving mother and committed friend, passed away Monday, 3rd of August 2009. Joyce was known for her artistic abilities, great sense of humor and caring, compassionate spirit. Joyce was talent enriched, able to oil paint, character sketch and play the piano. She handcrafted thousands of flower arrangements, created posters, flyers and news letters for local community functions. As an entrepreneur, she opened a consignment gift/miniatures store in Renton called My Shop Inc. She had a zeal for life, never slowing down. She was a member of the Moses Lake Moose Lodge, chapter 1724, for 50 years, accomplishing the level of College Regent. As a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post 1263, she was president for two years and received the Lora Waters award.Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Leslie Gordon Henderson and Gladys Mae Pease, and her brother Vernon Keith Henderson. Joyce is survived by her husband of 54 years, Donald A. McAlpine and 2 children, Deborah K. McAlpine and Scott L.
