Jean Graham Hobart
Jean Graham Hobart, 83, of Renton, peacefully passed away June 15, 2016. She was a retired educator and passionate volunteer.
Born January 12, 1933 in San Luis Obispo, California to Eldon French Hobart and Agnes Jean Fleishman Hobart.
She taught kindergarten in Renton, Campbell Hill Elementary, from 1964 to 1990 where she retired after 26 years.
She was a founding member of Kubota Garden Foundation in 1990. She was awarded the Seattle Parks Department Denny award in 2007 for her many years of service to Kubota Garden.
Jean was also a Master Gardener for 25 years.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Hobart (Janet) and their children Tim Hobart, Mike Hobart, Don Hobart, Sam Hobart, Amy Hobart and Natalie Kesnick, her sister-in-law, Lulu Hobart, (Richard, brother deceased) and their children, Rick Hobart (Robyn), Bill Hobart (Kim), Jennifer Finney (Larry) and Ren’e Cusick (Jerry), numerous cousins, great nephews and great nieces.
A memorial will be held on July 29th, at Kubota Garden, 9817 55th Ave S., Seattle, WA 98178 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
