Lorraine (Lori)

Rockwell-Havey

Lorraine (Lori) Rockwell-Havey of Renton passed away December 5, 2010 at the age of 80. Lorraine graduated from Renton High School in 1949 and still kept in touch with a few special friends. She retired from the old Foremost Dairy in Seattle, in 1981. Her family was the most important part of her life. She dearly loved her grandchildren and her most recent addition of her great grandchild. Lorraine had many passions in life: She enjoyed dancing with her friends at the Eagles Club in White Center and the Elks Club Seniors center. Lorraine had enjoyed bowling for many years with family and friends. Her most recent bowling adventures were at the Skyway Bowl where she bowled in a mixed league with her husband and also in a women’s league. She enjoyed playing pinochle once a month with her group of friends, which she looked so forward to. She had volunteered her time to help out in areas of the Club House where she lived for over 20 years. Lori also enjoyed traveling, wherever it took her, whether it was to Canada or Colorado to visit her family and grandchildren or driving across the US to Pennsylvania for her husband’s family. They even took their cat with them on occasions. She was proud of her small gardening patch which she kept up well for all to enjoy as they passed by. She had a passion for animals, whether they were her own, families, strays or wild. She treated them all with such great love. Lorraine was a huge Seattle sports fan for the Mariners and the Seahawks. Ask her anything about these two teams and she knew all about the players and plays of the game. Lorraine is survived by her husband Charles of Renton, her sister Linda of California, her son Norman of Colorado, her daughter Sheryl of Alberta Canada, three granddaughters Rosenne, Vanessa, and Stephanie of Alberta Canada, her great grandbaby Eva of Alberta Canada, and her grandson Chris of Renton. It was Lorraine’s request that no public services be held in her honor. She will be missed by all. We love you.
