Edna Gregerson Johnson-Splaine

Edna Gregerson Johnson-Splaine, 89, of Renton WA died on July 7, 2009. Edna was born in Arlington WA April 2, 1920. She was one of 8 children. She married James G. Johnson on February 7, 1942, in Everett WA. They raised 3 girls in Snohomish and Kent WA.She loved sports, had an enthusiasm for life and always had a winning attitude. She started sports as a young woman and was still dancing and playing golf at 89. Through her sports activities she met and married Gil Splaine in July of 1992.She had a real zest for life and brought laughter and joy to many people. Her family will miss her joyful, loving spirit. She is survived by her husband Gil Splaine, her daughters Marcia Prater, Barbara Owen, and Joyce Simmonds, her husband’s children Jim Splaine, Bob Splaine, Susan Duchsherer, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters Miller, Gladys, Jenny, Carl, Roy and Art.
