Valene Twitchell Chesson

Valene Twitchell Chesson born in Escalante, UT January 27, 1938 to Eldon Twitchell and Ila Mae Montague died June 8, 2016 in Renton, WA. Valene spent her early years in Springville, UT. The family moved to Renton in 1947. She attended Renton and Highline High Schools.

Valene had a passion for making porcelain dolls and figurines, growing beautiful dahlias and a great love for her dogs. She enjoyed camping and fishing. She took pride in her appearance by having her hair and nails done weekly. She retired from Boeing in 1995 with 30 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bud, sister Marilyn and husband Cleveland Chesson. She leaves behind her children, Mike, Chuck and Rick Stone and Cheryl Stone Hindman, sisters Ilene McCoy, Marion Schultz, Bertie Hoffman, Paloma Rattray, brother Roe, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Maplewood Heights Ward, 816 Field Ave NE, Renton on July 16 at 11am with a reception following at the VFW Hall, 416 Burnett Ave S, Renton. Interment at Tahoma Veteran’s Cemetery.
