Lorraine B. (Svensen) Bailey

Lorraine B. (Svensen) Bailey passed away in a Renton hospital on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the age of 89. She was born March 10, 1921 on Puget Island, WA and graduated from Wahkiakum High School, Cathlamet, WA in 1939. Shortly after her marriage to Kenneth Bailey in 1951, the family moved to Seattle for Ken to pursue a job at Boeing. Lorraine was active in Skyway Bowling League, and local square dance clubs. After a brief move to Florida and New Jersey, they returned to the Seattle area, later settling in Renton where she lived for 17 years. Her husband predeceased her in 1995, her son David Smith died in 2006. Survivors are Jacqueline McClung (Charles), Paul Bailey (Lisa), Debora Bailey-Radosevich, LoriAnn Stone (Kerry), daughter-in-law Mary Smith, grandchildren Scott, Karen, Lisa, Erica, Jesse, Frank, Kenny, Crystal and 8 great-grandchildren. A Service will be held Saturday, September 25 at 1:00 pm at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 1700 Edmonds Ave. NE, Renton. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to American Lung Association-Seattle, 2625 – 3rd Ave., Seattle, WA 98121.
