UPDATE (5:56 p.m.):

One man was transported to Harborview Medical Center in “grave condition” following a Tuesday afternoon shooting on a Metro bus in Renton.

Police have the suspect in custody and no one else is being sought in relation to the crime.

According to Renton Regional Fire Authority Deputy Chief Chad Michael, the department was called to the scene at Talbot Road South and South 21st Street at approximately 4:30 p.m. Crews found a male in his 20s with a gunshot wound to the back of the head.

The patient was treated at the scene and then transported to Harborview in what Michael described as “grave condition.”

The area around the shooting is still closed for investigation and police advise avoiding the area if possible.

One person is in custody and another injured following a shooting in the area of Talbot Road and South 21st Street Tuesday in Renton.

According to Commander David Leibman, the condition of the victim is unknown.

There is a lot of police activity in the area due to the incident and police are recommending drivers avoid the area if at all possible.
