A Renton bank hosted its own “Peep” show today with model sets of the marshmallow treats doing everything from singing to surfing on a beach.

Customers voted for the best display at the First Savings Bank Northwest, where the seven sets were viewed all day.

The Employee Activities Committee started the competition privately last year.

“We had so much fun we thought we’d bring it down and share it with the customers,” said receptionist JoAnn Knack.

It’s one of the many activities at the bank to keep morale high, Knack said. “You don’t feel like a number around here.”

Megan Grovenburg won first place for her Peeps on the Beach display. Laura Woods took second with a Hawaiian beach theme and Heidi Landis took third place with Ava-Peep, modeled after a scene in Avatar.

They each won Easter baskets with coffee and movie gift cards.
