One man was injured on Monday afternoon on Maple Valley Highway when his car crashed into a power pole.
According to Chad Michael, deputy fire chief for the Renton Regional Fire Authority, a 60-year-old man sustained serious injuries and was transported to Harbor Medical Center following the incident.
The car was heavily damaged and the victim was trapped inside. He was extricated from the car within 10 minutes after fire fighters got to the scene.
Currently, there is no information on whether the driver was impaired while driving, what caused the accident or what the driver’s condition is.
