Bonnie Jean Covington nee Stringer passed away on July 2, 2017 at home in Auburn Washington at the age of 89. She was surrounded by her family.
Bonnie was born near Rocky Branch Mississippi, to Oscar and Lou Stringer. In a time of large families Bonnie was an unusual only child and always longed for siblings. Shortly after World War II at the age of 18 she met and married a dashing military man and proceeded to give him three children while they traveled around to his various postings. Her third child was born when they were posted in England.
Bonnie was one of that generation that dedicated her life to caring for her husband and children. She was unfortunate enough to outlive two of her children but is survived by her daughter, Gale McLoughlin and her grandchildren, Bonnie Elliott, Robert Marion and Melissa Marion, 8 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren as well as cousins in Mississippi that were very dear to her.
A memorial service will be held on July 30th at 2:30 at the East Renton Community Church in Renton Washington.
Bonnie will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and always as a special caring friend.
