An official date for parkrun has been scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Cedar River Trail, starting and finishing at the Riverview Park restrooms.
The event is free and open to everyone. Those volunteering or participating will meet at 8:30 a.m. prior to the run beginning at 9 a.m.
This timed 5K will be held every Saturday at 9 a.m. (or at 8 a.m. during Daylight Saving Time).
Sponsors, including Peak Sports & Spine Physical Therapy, parks department members and a parkrun board of directors member will be in attendance Nov. 18. Refreshments will also be provided before and after the 5K.
In weeks to come, participants and volunteers can meet a local coffee shop afterward.
