On Tuesday, Nov. 14, King County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a former Northwood Middle School employee.

The 24-year-old man from Kent was booked into the King County Jail on felony voyeurism charges.

On Oct. 26 Kent School District officials contacted the Sheriff’s Office regarding reports a student who had found notes of a non-sexual nature that was addressed to him taped to the side of a urinal, a media release stated.

Along with the notes was an iPod that had also been found attached to the inside of the urinal.

The previous two days, the student gave school officials other notes that he had found, the release stated.

At first it was unknown who left the notes and what the intent of them were, the release added.

Once the iPod was found, it was determined the owner was an employee. The school district immediately removed the employee, the release stated.

Following a search warrant of the iPod on Nov. 14, officers arrested the former employee at his home without incident.

During an interview with detectives, the release said, “The suspect admitted he was taking the video for sexual gratification and claimed that he had only been targeting the one victim.”

The release added detectives did not find any evidence that there are other victims.

The former employee also spent time working at Kentridge High School.
