The Metropolitan King County Council unanimously approved an improvement program for the King County Road Services Division.
According to a media release, this includes key road improvements to areas of Fairwood.
“Ensuring the county is using its limited resources to invest in the safety of our roads is one of my top priorities,” said Council Vice Chair Reagan Dunn, who represents Fairwood on the County Council, in the release.
Funds to install a roundabout at the intersection of Southeast 176th Street and Southeast 171st Way was included in the approved budget.
Work on the roundabout is expected to begin this year, the release stated.
