The Landing kicks of Dog Days of Summer

The Landing is kicking off its Dog Days of Summer special events and promotions this weekend with Doggapalooza Saturday.

Doggapalooza is The Landing’s signature event of the Dog Days of Summer, featuring KISS 106.1’s Bender and his dog Ted, kid-friendly activities and a dog-and-owner look-alike contest with prizes valued at up to $500.

Here’s the schedule:

  • 11-11:30 a.m.: Register for the dog-and-owner lookalike contest.
  • 11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Balloon artists, face painting, pet adoption services and more activities
  • Noon-12:30 p.m.: Judging for the dog-and-owner lookalike contest
  • 12:45-1 p.m.: Doggapalooza winners announced.

To enter the contest, a $10 donation is suggested to benefit the King County Humane Society or $5 with a pet-food donation.

Other activities through Aug. 13 include Friday Date Nights, Saturday Strolls, Summer at the Movies, Regal Cinema’s free Family Film Festival and photos with Fido at C’est la Vie.
