Howard T. Townsend passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the age of 91 in Renton, WA.

Howard was born on December 25, 1927 to Glen and Cassie Townsend. The family moved to Renton, WA in 1928 where Howard attended and graduated from Renton High School in 1946. Howard married his wife Marilyn on June 24, 1950 and they had two children, Robert and Dianne. After 50+ years working in the printing industry and owning his own business, he retired at the age of 72.

Howard is survived by his wife Marilyn of 68 years; daughter Dianne Dudgeon (Michael) of Renton, WA; granddaughter Anne Thornton of Enumclaw, WA; granddaughter Sarah Friend of Renton, WA; and two great-grandchildren Averie and Sebastian. Howard was preceded in death by his son, Robert Townsend who passed away in May of 2001.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 19th at 11:00 a.m. at St Matthews Lutheran Church, 1700 Edmonds Ave NE, Renton, WA 98056.
