Olympic ends Lindbergh’s season two games short of state | Softball

The Lindbergh softball team lost to Olympic 15-4 Saturday. The loss knocks the Eagles out of the district tournament and ends their season.

Lindbergh (10-10) earned a first-round bye in districts and met Port Angeles in the second round. The Eagles fell 9-3 in that game.

Lindbergh then faced Olympic in a loser-out game. The Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning, but the Trojans answered back with two runs.

Olympic then scored 12 runs in the second and innings and ended the game in five innings.

Maria Cornell went 1-3 with a triple for Lindbergh. Danielle Danao went 1-2. Paula Farrell went 2-3.
