Roxanne Lee Hudson | Obituary

Roxanne Lee Hudson passed

away on July 10, 2020 at home

in La Center, Washington, after a

courageous fight against ovarian

cancer. She was surrounded by

the family she loved so much, and

who loved her. Roxanne was a loving, generous woman who

deserved more time on this earth.

Roxanne, known to her family as “Roxy”, was born to

Leroy and Virginia Sproat in Renton, Washington on Sept. 15,

1954, one of a pair of identical twins. She attended schools

in Renton and graduated from Hazen High School in 1972.

Her first job after high school launched her career in data

processing, in which she worked until she retired. Roxanne

married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Hudson, in 1976,

and they relocated to Vancouver, Washington soon after.

A hard worker, at home and on the job, Roxanne was

a force to be reckoned with – she did not quit until the job

was done and done right. So often, she put the needs of

others ahead of her own and will be remembered for her

selflessness.

Above all, Roxanne loved her family and being a

grandmother was a great joy to her. She enjoyed spending

time with her family – trips to the beach, Disneyland, and

travelling to Arizona in their RV to spend the winter. Roxanne

loved country music and was an avid Seahawks fan. She

also loved to bake; her grandchildren will really miss their

Grandma’s “sparkly” cookies.

Roxy was preceded in death earlier this year by her

father Leroy. She is survived by her husband Ron, son

Branden (Shelly), and daughter Megan Glaus (Kevin), six

grandchildren, her mother Virginia, and sisters Linda Barber

and Rosanne McPherson.

We will cherish her memory forever.
