CryOut, a youth music outreach, raised about $12,000 of its $25,000 annual budget during a June 4 fundraiser.

Leaders Celestine and Tara Ezinkwo hope to raise enough money to purchase a van, computer equipment and to pay for the production costs of recording two albums.

The non-profit is based in downtown Renton and offers an after-school program to teach youth how to sing, rap and even produce their own album.
