The King County Sheriff’s Office sent its Guardian 1 helicopter and deputies to the Pebble Grove Apartments, 17500 134th Ave. S.E., late Saturday after receiving a report of a shooting, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The helicopter circled the area several times and deputies investigated at about 11 p.m., but no shooting scene was found, according to Sgt. John Urquhart, a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office.

The caller didn’t give an apartment number nor a last name for the victim, Urquhart said. The caller indicated the victim was taken to Valley Medical Center, but deputies dispatched to the hospital didn’t find a shooting victim.

It was probably a crank call, Urquhart said.
