Renton 53, Kennedy Catholic 51

Renton and Kennedy Catholic went back and forth all night in a key Seamount League game Friday night, but the Indians came out ahead 53-51.

Renton (2-2 overall, 2-0 Seamount) took a six-point lead after the first quarter, only to have Kennedy rebound and take a one-point lead at the half.

The Indians then outscored the Lancers 17-11 in the third and held on in the game’s final minutes to win.

Achoki Moikobu led Renton with 18 points – exactly his season average.

D.J. Eubanks scored 10 for the Indians.

Kennedy’s (2-3, 1-2) Deshea Bell led all scorers with 19.

Mount Rainier 58, Hazen 53

Mount Rainier beat Hazen 58-53 in a close game Friday night.

The Highlanders (2-2, 1-2) trailed by just two points heading into the final period.

Dewit Kasa led Hazen with 16 points. R.J. Magar and Decourious Sampson each scored nine.

The Rams (3-2, 2-0) used a balanced attack with Cameron Harris, Kevin Bodle, Bryce McPhee, Delvonte Alifua, Art Cage and Wes Joyner all scoring between 8 and 10 points.
