Three men hurt, two seriously, in early Tuesday crash on SR 900

Three men were injured early Tuesday morning when the Ford Econoline van they were in went into a ditch on State Route 900 in May Valley east of Renton, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The driver, a 23-year-old Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, man, was taken to Valley Medical Center in Renton. He was treated and released.

Two passengers, a 21-year-old man from Coeur d’ Alene, and a 29-year-old man from Santa Cruz, Calif., were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. They were reported in serious condition later Tuesday morning at Harborview.

The accident at about 12:25 a.m. occurred in the 17100 block of the road, also known as the Renton-Issaquah Highway. The cause is under investigation, but drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident, according to the state patrol.
