John’s recovery has been an inspiration to his friends and community. I admire his honesty to face the pain of his past. To see someone rebound from drug addiction living life with such conviction and purpose is the best lesson for our kids. He has built a trust and friendship with them based on his past experiences. It is more believable for kids to relate to someone that has actually dealt with many of the same issues they are struggling with. It would be a great disservice to cut back the prevention intervention specialist program that PSESD provides to many districts in our region.
