The golf teams at Renton’s three high school are hosting a golf tournament, the Renton School District Golf Team Challenge, Saturday, Oct. 9, to raise money to support the three teams.

The boys and girls teams from Hazen, Lindbergh and Renton High are not funded by the Renton School District or by the student body associations at the schools.

The fundraiser will help pay for transportation, tournament fees, coaching and hole sponsorships.

The organizers are looking for hole sponsorships and donations for a raffle or golf-themed silent auction and an awards banquet.

The tournament is at the Lake Wilderness Golf Course in Maple Valley. Registration is at noon, with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. The dinner and awards banquet are 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the course.
