Your endorsement of Robin Jones for Renton City Council, Position 5 (Renton Reporter, Sept. 30, 2011) reinforces my belief that Mr. Jones is the right choice for the position.

On the question of improved livability and property values throughout the city, Robin is well aware of the spending disparity in capital improvement spending in North Renton and the Highlands compared to Southeast and Southwest Renton. Combined, Southeast and Southwest Renton provide 46 percent of property tax revenue to the city coffers and will see a paltry 2.6 percent return over four years.

On the question of moving the library, Robin Jones feels that the process that led to the decision was just plain flawed.

Robin Jones will be a fantastic addition to the Renton City Council. Through his leadership we can expect a higher degree of integrity, openness and transparency in all city transactions.

Robin Jones will represent and work for the Renton community.
