Volunteers are needed for Renton’s debut in May as a venue for the Seattle International Film Festival in May.
SIFF, the nation’s longest-running, largest and most highly attended film festival, is coming to Renton May 20 – 26, with films showing at the IKEA Peforming Arts Center, 400 S. Second St., Renton.
Volunteer opportunities are broad, from ticket takers at the screenings to helping distribute SIFF posters and magazines to local businesses and residents.
Other volunteer opportunities in Renton include event assistance with SIFF-Renton Preview FilmWalk on May 11 and the Opening Night Screening and Gala on May 20, creating SIFF displays in vacant storefronts, and organizing community events in conjunction with the films.
Register to volunteer at siff.net and sign up for the “Renton team.” For more specific information about Renton volunteer information, contact 425-430-6589 or arts@rentonwa.gov.
