Police investigated threats of violence against apartment residents in Renton on Aug. 2.

The report of threats came from a residence in the 12200 block of Southeast Petrovitsky Road at around 6 p.m.

A 36-year-old woman told police a suspicious subject said he was going to come back and shoot residents at the apartment.

The suspicious person was involved in other incidents.

The woman told police the suspicious man appeared drunk and made statements  to “coming back with some gangster friends and spraying the place.” She believed he was gang-affiliated but didn’t know what gang he belong to.

There were no arrests.


Brother, sister argue

A brother and sister got into a heated argument and the brother wrongfully accused the sister of drawing a gun on July 29.

The 26-year-old brother told police he was taking a shower at a residence in the 600 block of Daton Avenue Northeast around 6:40 p.m.

He said his sister came home and started pounding on his door. He eventually opened the door and said she supposedly pulled the gun out, cocked it and pointed it at him.

The sister later came to the Renton police station to explain her side of the story. She said she never pointed the gun at her brother. Witnesses substantiated her account.


Transit center robbery

A Seattle man was robbed at the Renton Transit Center on July 29.

The 39-year-old man had just got off of a bus just before 11 p.m. when he was approached by three people.

One of the suspects grabbed one of his arms and reached into his pants pocket and removed $300 dollars in cash. The man described the suspect as a black male, between 20 and 30 years old, tall, medium build and wearing a black t-shirt. He was with two black females, one was described as between 20 and 30 years old, around 5-foot-8 inches and wearing a green skirt. The other female was described as the same age and height, with unknown clothing.

The suspects were last seen running north in the direction of the high school.


Man flees during stop

Police pulled over a man and his passenger driving a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier in the 17000 block of 116th Avenue Southeast at midnight July 29 for driving with no headlights on.

The driver fled when the officer was checking the man’s information.

Police discovered the man had a warrant out of Kent for driving under the influence and possession of a drug.

A K9 unit was brought in to track the suspect, but he was not located. The passenger was released on the scene.
