Three Renton schools recognized as Schools of Distinction

Honey Dew, Lakeridge and Talbot Hill Elementary schools were recognized for their sustained improvement over a five year period.

Three elementary schools from the Renton School District have been recognized as 2015 Schools of Distinction for improving education for students.

Honey Dew, Lakeridge and Talbot Hill Elementary schools were recognized for their sustained improvement over a five year period in English language arts (ELA) and math by the Center of Educational Effectiveness.

The schools were recognized as among the top five percent in the state for improving student achievement in math and reading for elementary students.

The award was presented by the Center for Educational Effectiveness in partnership with the Association of Educational Service Districts, the Association of Washington School Principals, Washington Association of School Administrators and the Washington Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development.
