Threatened with a gun: A Renton police officer responded on Sept. 30 to a report of threats involving a weapon. According to the department, a man stated that as he approached the intersection of South Renton Village Place, driving northbound on Talbot Road South, he observed a vehicle swerving. The man stated he feared the driver was intoxicated and observed the driver, seeing that the man was on his cellphone. After both vehicles stopped at a red light, the man shouted to the other driver to “watch what you are doing!” The man stated the other driver picked up a gun, and pointed it at him, and threatened him, speeding off after the light turned green.

Sexual offense: An investigation was made by the Renton Police Department into a sexual offense that occurred on Sept. 27 in the 3700 block of East Valley Road. The investigation is ongoing. The department declined to further comment regarding the incident, stating, “details are not yet disclosable.”
