Domestic violence: Renton police officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 2:20 a.m. Oct. 25 in the 2600 block of Northeast 19th Street. According to the department, a woman reported that her boyfriend entered her residence and started to argue with her, with the argument escalating into a physical altercation. The woman stated that her boyfriend left her residence after. Officers developed probable cause for a felony charge of domestic violence assault in the second degree.

Shootout on Lake Washington Boulevard: Renton police officers were dispatched at approximately 9:58 p.m. Oct. 27 to a shooting in the 1200 block of Lake Washington Boulevard North. According to the department, a man stated that he heard a commotion as he sat in his vehicle on the phone. He witnessed three teenage boys in ski masks breaking the back window of a minivan, prior to the boys turning to and approaching his vehicle. The man held a concealed pistol license and possessed his weapon on him, exiting his vehicle and confronting the teenagers. The teenagers ran away and entered a vehicle. As the vehicle left, a rear passenger pointed a gun at the man and fired at him. The man returned fire. He stated to police he was unsure if anyone was struck, according to the department. The man suffered no injuries in the incident.

Domestic dispute: Renton police officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 1200 block of North 10th Place at approximately 1:03 p.m. Oct. 26. A woman stated to police that her boyfriend assaulted her prior. She stated she waited to feel safe to leave before reporting the incident. The woman’s boyfriend showed up as police interviewed her. Officers contacted and detained him. After establishing probable cause for domestic violence assault in the second degree, officers arrested the suspect and booked him into jail.
