So far, the Democratic incumbents are holding their ground in 11th Legislative District.
Early election results show Bob Hasegawa in the lead for State Senator, David Hackney in the lead for State Representative Pos. 1 and Steve Bergquist in the lead for State Representative Pos. 2, according to King County Election results on Nov. 11.
The 11th District includes southern Seattle, Renton, Tukwila and a portion of Kent.
For State Senate, Democratic incumbent Hasegawa, who is running unopposed, has garnered 95.54% of votes, or about 45,984 votes. Write-ins are at 4.46% of the vote, totalling 2,145. Total votes are currently tallied at 48,129.
For State Representative Pos. 1, early results show that Democrat Hackney, who also is running unopposed, has garnered 95.56% of votes, or about 44,118 votes. There are 2,096 write-ins, which makes up 4.44% of the vote. Total votes are currently tallied at 47,214.
Finally, State Representative Pos. 2 Democrat Bergquist has garnered 76.8% of votes, or about 42,242 votes with newcomer Justin Greywolf, who favors the Libertarian Party, coming up behind with 22.01% of the vote, or 12,107 votes. Position 2 write-ins made up 1.18% of the vote, totalling in 651. Total votes are currently tallied at 55,000.
In the 11th Legislative District, voting turnout came out to just over 70.74% with 63,608 ballots counted of the 89,920 registered voters. According to the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission, as of Nov. 8, Hasegawa had raised $81,451.16 and spent $112,627.35; Hackney had raised $129,906.06 and spent $78,961.44; Bergquist had raised $112,917.09 and spent $73,895.54; and Justin Greywolf had raised and spent $0.
